walk the amherst bike path

The Amherst Bike Path starts at North Forest, there is a bathroom there too, and it goes on for miles....You can bring your dogs with you if you like....we have walked up too 3 hours on this path...going 7 to 9 miles, depending on the pace of the group...if at anytime the walk is too much and you have too turn around and go back, please make sure you have a cell phone number too let the leader knows....there will always be faster and slower walkers with this group....i'm a slower walker, if there is more than one leader in the group...its no problem walking with the faster leader...if there is only one leader than please try and stay with that leader, if you fall behind we will stop and wait for you...We are only thinking of your safety......I hope the weather is good ..they are calling for Rain all week...

Susan, I know how you feel and I am sorry for you and your mother. The feeling of helplessness is so strong. I hope for the best and you will have a happy Easter. (My parents have passed now but the pain still lingers.)

It is across from the Community Grace Church, 1407 N Forest Rd, Williamsville, NY 14221. For some reason I do not remember the dandelions. The tennis court and bathroom I remember.

      March 27, 2013

I am happy to see you will now stay as a group and will stop and wait if a member (and their dog) falls behind. This bike path has had it's issues with safety and no one should ever walk alone on it or any other walking/bike riding path.

    March 24, 2013

    • Debbie W.

I used to walk and bike this area lone every day, I know not a smart thing to do but I just LOVE it over there.

I thought this was for THIS weekend, the 23rd! I can make this one the 30th. It is on my calendar - can't wait to meet everyone! Maybe by next week the weather will improve!
