Walk the River at Dusk in Tonawanda

Park in parking lots located across from Mississippi Mudds or Old Man River Restaurants on Niagara Street. Meeting at the ANCHOR located between the lots. Do not park in lot where the boats unload. We walk to the South Grand Island Bridge and return. The walk round trip is a total of six miles. Parking is difficult so we will wait 7 to 10 minutes. Otherwise park further down the road and meet up with us enroute. Dogs and children are welcome but need to stay with their parent(s). Everyone walks at different paces and some if they choose can take a shorter walk as long and preferrably with a buddy.

It was a lot if fun. View was so pretty. And yes it was chilly. But yet we were walking fast so warm as well at times.

As of 6 a.m. today the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says it will be dry high in the upper 40's and a little windy put that next to the water; cold. Unfortunately, I am the leader of this particular walk and have a head cold. I do not want to walk in the wind and cold atleast not this week. Would anyone like to be the leader for this walk today? I will not cancel I will just pass the torch. Let me know by 4:30. If no one takes the reigns I will cancel walk.

I love to walk is it ok to bring my dog & maybe a friend or my daughter ?

    May 6, 2013

    • Kelly

You may bring a friend. You can bring dog as long as it doesn't bother our one walker who is highly allergic. Your daughter may join you if she walks with you and doesn't mind the pace.
