Couch to 5K anyone?

Hi, I live in Amherst and would like to find a couch to 5K walking/running partner. I would like to do this early in the am - 6ish if possible or after 5pm. Any takers? Maybe meet at the Ellicott Creek walking path near Maple & N.Forest.

sorry I missed the walk. I tried to change my rsvp but it wont allow me to on my phone!
Southtowns would be best for me too.

I am familiar with the Amherst bike path, but have never walked there at night. Are there lights along the path? If not, is there any way to make this earlier, before it gets dark?

I'm going to change my RSVP to no. Hopefully we can start a group in the Southtowns. Hamburg-ish area. :)

Sunset is 5:03 PM and sunrise is 6:55. This is a tough time of year to get in things like this before or after work.... You might want to reconsider doing this in the dark :(

I'm very unfamiliar with the area for this meetup. Is there an address someone can give me or an easy way to get there? Thank you! :)

I had to change RSVP to no for this one. Is anyone interested in doing one in the Southtowns? Orchard Park/Hamburg?

I would be. I work until 4:30 in West Seneca near Orchard Park and am familiar with Hamburg. I used to live in West Seneca and live on the east side if Buffalo. The only days that don't work for me are Monday and Wednesday evenings. Thanks!

Just a thought- wear headlights or carry flashlights. It gets very dark. Also, path gets slippery in winter. Be careful!

There are two locations Cheektowaga or North Forest mentioned in comments; however the suggestion is for Ellicott Creek Path near Maple & North Forest; which I believe is the Amherst Bike Path.

Im hoping this can get started soon. I can do M-F after 3:45 PM, anytime Sat. and after 1 on Sun. I'm in Cheektowaga/W Seneca area.
I'd like to run 1-3 times a week with a group to start.

So, is there dates and a location for meeting yet?

This what I've been looking for! I'm from the Cheektowaga W Seneca area. Losson Park is a good place as well.

Im right near Maple and N. Forest... I'm a big walker cycler, tennis etc... and would love to get into the jogging mode. I could try. 2-3d/week I leave for work at 6:30am so it would have to be flexible

Could you explain to me what this is all about? I take it couch to 5k means training to go from a sedentary lifestyle to working up to a 5k walk/run?

I could do once a week too, preferably around 5:30pm. Tuesdays and Thursdays are best for me. I can try and do a Friday or Saturday. Thanks! :)
