Hike Rademacher Park AKA Hunter's Creek Park

Rademacher Memorial Park, more commonly known as Hunters Creek Park, is a 760-acre park within the Erie County park system and located near East Aurora/Wales, NY. There are trails of varying difficulty. I've classified this as a HIKE, because the trail is fairly level with numerous semi-steep inclines. The trails have many bare tree roots that have to be carefully navigated. This fairly strenuous hike will take about 60-90 minutes. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear. The fall foliage should be very colorful at this time.  Here are some pictures I took when we hiked it on Sept 7th. LOOK FOR THE YELLOW ARROW SIGN ON CENTERVILLE RD. as shown in these photos. http://cmd.shutterfly.com/commands/pictures/slideshow?site=huntercreekpark&page=huntercreekpark/pictures&album=8&albumPath=

I was telling some of you about the open house at a new "Glamping" resort that is opening up in Franklinville. The open house is next weekend, October 19th and 20th. Her is a link to their website and facebook page. Maybe I'll see some of you there! I'm definitely going, probably Sunday.

Marge, We will meet at the entrance to the park on Centerline Rd. If you look at the photos included in the description above, you'll see what the yellow arrow sign looks like that indicates the location of the parking lot. The sign looks handmade and not that prominent. You will not see an official sign until you turn into the parking lot. Looks like it will be a beautiful day with lots of colorful foliage. See you there!

We'd like to stop afterwards at the Elmwood Bakery in East Aurora for coffee (and wonderful pastries) if there is enough interest.
