Walk The Clarence Hollow pathway system(Rails toTrails) starting at SALT RD.

Clarence Trails

Experience the country while exercising!

Clarence New York offers two main recreation trails which were converted from rail system right-of-ways. They are beautiful, wide, paved trails, created by many volunteers, which offer a quiet walk, run, bike, or roller blade excursion through the Clarence area. We'll walk the portion that begins at the Salt Rd. parking area. Let's be ready to walk by 10 a.m.

**There are no rest areas on the trail...

FYI Check out the - Clarence Hollow Farmers Market 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. 10717 Main st. after the walk.

Thanks Dawn, yes, she was frantic, and needed guidance on what to do to protect herself from further identify theft. I hope the walk went this morning and I hope I get to meet you and other walkers soon.

Dawn, it looks like I won't be able to join. I've been on the phone with my daughter for hours this morning - she got her purse stolen with everything in it. I was so looking forward to this!!

Paulette- The entrance to the trail on SALT Rd. does not have an address however I pulled this map up on the Farmers market website. The directions for the market state that it is 5.8 mi. east of Transit Rd. on MAIN St. (rt. 5) SALT Rd. as you can see is just past the Farmers Market on the LEFT. The parking area where we meet is just behind the building on the corner of MAIN & SALT Rd. Hope this is helpful. You can always put the Farmers Market address in the GPS. & keep driving a bit til you see SALT RD.

Thanks Dawn. I plan on joining the group on Saturday. I am new to the area and this will be the first time on the trail. I see it is on Salt Rd. Is there a landmark nearby or an address that I can put in my garmen?

Paulette- the end time is usually determined by who is walking & how much we put into the walk. we average 3-4 mi. in 1.5- 2 hr. If someone needs to turn back because of time or stamina it is my policy to see they are not alone.

How long of a walk is scheduled? I see it starts at 10, any idea of an end time? Thanks!

Linda-I believe Dogs are welcome on the Rail to Trails & as long as they are well behaved I see no problem with bringing a dog.
