The River Walk (Valley Forge/Pawlings Road)

We will be walking 3-4 miles over dirt paths.   This walk takes us through the woods and along the river.   In the past, it has taken about 1.5 hours.

Sturdy shoes or hiking boots are recommended. Dress appropriately for weather conditions.

As always...please remember to bring water, snacks and other essential items you may need.

You may also want to consider bringing a hat, first aid kit, walking stick(s), field guides, binoculars, and a camera.

Note: Please remember pooh bags and that your dog must be on a leash that is no more than 10 feet long.

Arrival and Start Times:  We will start hiking promptly at 2:00pm.

This was a great walk...the length, the weather, the picturesque views - I really enjoyed it, and I think we all know Zoë did, as well. :)
We look forward to our future Spring walks with all of you!
Have a great rest of the weekend everyone,
    Marisa (and Zoë)

It was nice meeting everyone. Even though I don't have a dog, I hope to come for some other walks.

Would like to meet up. Do not have a dog at this time. Much suffering over having to give my dog up to my daughter for finance, and health . Want to spend time with animals. They help me be human. I am Jain, Seventh Day adventist. Things happened. NEED to be with animals.

I'm not exactly sure where this is, so I'll try to be early.

Another obligation has come up and I will not be able to make the walk either. Next time I hope there will be no problem

I'm looking to meet people in the area and also to be more active and adventurous. I also would love to get my small dog out and about because he's trapped inside with four cats all the time.

I am so looking forward to hiking with the members, human and canine. Would possibly like to hike this weekend. It is my sons birthday on Saturday and I need to know first my plans with him. If I am able to go at any times, I would be happy to walk someone else's dog. I just moved here, and am considering seeing what kind of access to humane society dogs, or dogs of the elderly or disabled I can take on hikes in the future. Excited about being around the dogs especially.
