Brisk walk and Breakfast around Richmond Park - 6 miles (circular)

This is going to be a brisk morning circular walk, about 5-6 miles in length, to enjoy beautiful Richmond Park in all it's late autumn/early winter glory. We will head into the middle of the Park, discover some of the less well-trodden parts then go through Isabella Plantation Gardens, around Pen Ponds and stop for bacon butties, coffee, cake at the hot drinks van and picnic site there (bacon butties are not compulsory but they ARE very good!)

Dogs are welcome but please be wary of the deer in the park and keep your doggie companion on a lead when necessary.

We will end up back at car park at about 12-12.30. Still time to do those Saturday chores then!

The usual £2 Meetup fee applies.

Parking is free in the Kingston Gate carpark, inside the park, and there is lots of it (especially at 9.30am!!)

Hi Philippa, please accept my apologies. I am sure I didn't RSVP as I intended to do. Whoops! See you on the 17th.

Thanks for the promo Alan! Those bacon butties are def worth a brisk walk, especially if it's bit chilly

We did this walk last year and it was brilliant - thankfully no sign of Benton (sic) or any other dog chasing large or small numbers of the resident deer! Fresh air, exercise, coffee and bacon butties - a perfect warm up for that challenging Christmas shopping.
