This out-and-back trail works well for people of all levels; one can't get lost, and you're always half way through. Faster hikers can add on a little length that the tireder of us can easily forego without getting lost. Easily adaptable for any ability level, as it's virtually impossible to get lost so you can go at your own pace and wait for others to catch up with you on their way back if need be. Nice views of Stevens Creek Reservoir, a couple of small waterfalls, maybe a pond.
Picnic with peacocks and sample wine at Picchetti Winery on the property before or after the hike; take a brief tour of the outside of the historical winery buildings.
We have a few carpool spots from our home in Sunnyvale; please let us know via email if you are interested. There is also a good meeting spot near the corner of Foothill Blvd and Stevens Creek; let us know, too, if you are interested in more details on meeting there.
There is a very nice bathroom towards the beginning of the trail, where we always make a stop about five minutes into the walk. There are no further facilities along the trail itself.
