CALIFORNIA MOVIE NIGHT: THE FORGOTTEN JOURNEY

  • Feb 21, 2013 · 6:30 PM
  • Kathleen and Ron's House

"The Forgotten Journey" -- the story of the Stevens/Townsend/Murphy party -- is the incredible tale of the first wagon train to successfully cross the Sierra Nevada. They arrived with one MORE person than they had started with, and all arrived safely. Stevens Creek and a lot of streets in Sunnyvale are names related to this family and its trek. We've watched it several times but like to see it again now and then, and with our planned trip to Morgan Hill on Saturday to see a home of a Murphy granddaughter, this seemed like a great time to do it.

Since movie nights are held in private homes, for the security of all, these events are only open to people we have met before. If you are a new member, please meet us at another Meetup first.

We start with a pot luck supper at 6:30 and begin the movie around 7:00. This film is abouat 60 to 90 minutes long so you'll be home in plenty of time to get your beauty sleep.

If you feel that 3 of us is not enough, feel free to cancel, and we can catch up another time. My work # is[masked] and I'll probably be here until 6. Best, Terry

Hi Kathleen & Ron, Since I am the only one signed up for movie night, if you feel you want to cancel, that would be OK with me. I would be bringing slices apples. Can you eat those?
Let me know. My allergies have been flaring up today, so I have a bit of a foggy head right now and it probably would be good to get some rest. I forgot my cell at home today, but if you need a phone #, my work # is[masked]-7872. I will be here until 6.

    Thank you,

    Terry
