Saint Patrick's Day Festival in Dublin!

Save the airfare to Europe; visit Dublin, California, only about a 40-minute drive from Sunnyvale.  The festival is free, though you may want to buy food, music or craft items.  Music and dancing all day!  [Sunnyvale's Irish festival has been cancelled.]

Those wishing to carpool with organizers may depart Sunnyvale from our home at 9:00, to make sure we have time to find parking and hoof it to the stage.

Here are directions for getting to the festival:

For background info on the city of Dublin, which was named after Dublin, Ireland and settled largely by Irish, check Wikipedia:

We had planned to make this trip a tour of Dublin's history/museum site, but it turns out docents won't be available as they'll be serving tea at the festival! We'll go again for more of a walk around town and to see the historic sites.

At festivals, we don't try to stick together at every moment as it's about impossible and puts a great strain on organizers and keeps everybody from pursuing his or her own interests.  But we can socialize on the drive and stay together as much as is comfortable.
