Picnic, "Echoes of Islam" at Triton Museum of Art, Santa Clara, and walk

One of our former members who delighted us by moving back into the area has very kindly agreed to be the host for this event!

Meet in front of the museum to have a clear gathering point.  Start with a friendly picnic [likely we'll be sitting on the ground, so you might want to bring a blanket or cushion for sitting]

After the picnic, say around 2:15, head in to enjoy the exhibit at the museum.

At 3:15 we'll leave for a good speedy exercise walk in the area for about an hour.  If you are done with the museum sooner, you would likely enjoy walking around the small park and outdoor statues on the museum grounds, and across the street at city hall where there is an EXCELLENT display of Santa Clara Valley history which is well worth reading.  [We've done it before and it doesn't lend itself to a good brisk exercise walk so we will zoom right past it.]

This is the last day of the "Echoes of Islam" exhibit, so if that is of particular interest to you and you can't make it to this Meetup on Sunday, hope you'll be able to find a time to go on your own.

I might be able to get there for the brisk walk, but definitely won't make the picnic/exhibit part. Enjoy!

Sounds great. And I'd be interested in going out for dinner afterwards.

Do we bring brown bag dinners? Or go out after?

That's up to each person. We don't plan to include an official meal, as Ron and I are trying to save pennies and calories. Pick an early or late supper for yourself. Always the possibility of finding other folks who want to go out.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
