6.1-mile moderate hike at Garin/Dry Creek Regional Park

What for us will be a more challenging hike, 6.12 miles through green rolling hills in the East Bay. Elevation gain 800 feet. Mostly exposed and sunny -- so come equipped with sun gear and water.

The attached web site has a picture showing where to meet for this hike, extensively detailed description of the hike, driving directions and a link to yet more detailed directions to get you precisely to this place.

11:15 departure from Sunnyvale; have room for a few carpoolers.

Faster hikers are free to zoom on ahead. Ron and Kathleen will stop for a snack, sack lunch after about an hour and will take breathing breaks as necessary. This is a new hike for us so we can't tell you much about it, but again, the above description is very thorough.

Enjoyed the hike thoroughly -- at least, was glad to be getting so much exercise, but my poor blistered toes! Hope to still be able to walk tomorrow.

For our group, toward the harder end of moderate. Good company, good timing, good early-season exercise.

I'd love to go if it doesn't rain. Do you suppose the trails will be very wet??
