4040 Woodside Road
Redwood City, CA 94062
If you couldn't get tickets to "Alice in Wonderland," here is a great alternative for Sunday afternoon!
"Community Open House in celebration of the completion of the Folger Stable Renovation.
Enjoy family fun activities including pony rides, petting zoo, leathercrafts, blacksmith display, docent guided tours of the historic displays in the carriage room, and light refreshments.
The Folger Stable, listed on the National Register of Historic places, designed by Arthur Brown Jr., famed for his later work on Coit Tower ,the SF Ferry Building , War Memorial Opera House and San Francisco City hall, is a rare example left of the "great Estates" era properties on the peninsula.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A LEADER-LESS EVENT AS IT COINCIDES IN TIME WITH THE PLAY IN WOODSIDE. But it sounds like such an interesting activity that I wanted to facilitate those of you who would like to go to meet with each other. Wunderlich Park is free, and also has nice hiking trails through the redwoods, so there's something for everybody!
