Announcing a new Meetup for Walking thru the Valley of Heart's Delight & Hiking Around!

What: VOLUNTEER PROJECT ASSEMBLING KITS FOR AIDS CAREGIVERS

When: Friday, November 5,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Peninsula Bible Church
3505 Middlefield Road
Palo Alto, CA 94306

Spend a Friday evening in pleasant company and do something useful at the same time!

A quote from http://www.pbc.org/events/missions-build:

Come and build caregiver kits to help provide medication and supplies to a volunteer caring for people living with AIDS!

Caregivers need our support. Over 77,000 dedicated family caregivers and volunteers are providing comfort and care for people living with AIDS in Africa, Asia and Latin America. These courageous caregivers often sacrifice everything to care for sick relatives, neighbors and other community members. Too often they lack even the most basic supplies.

You can equip them with the practical materials they need to bring dignity and comfort to those living with AIDS while helping to prevent the spread of infection. Providing caregiver kits is a tangible way you can show love and encourage those who are caring for individuals.
We will be assembling kits to provide material to caregivers for a full year.

FURTHER NOTE: No need to bring any materials. Cash donations are welcome but by no means required. Our main contribution is our time.

Also please note: The street number for the church is on the building itself, and not highly visible. There is a black and white sign in front which says "PBC;" you can turn into the driveway just a bit past the sign. The church is a few blocks south of Winterlodge, and almost across the street from Mitchell Park.
