Join our panel of Walkley Award-winning cartoonists and illustrators as they discuss the rich material presented to them each day, the illustrating process where the industry is heading in the age of interactive and digital storytelling. Lindsay Foyle (moderator)
Lindsay Foyle worked on The Bulletin and The Australian. He is currently working as a freelance cartoonist while writing books on the history of Australian cartooning.
An illustrator & cartoonist, Anton draws regular cover art, illustrations and cartoons for publications such as MAD Magazine, The Spectator, People, Business Technology, Business Reporter, Penthouse, and many more titles over the past 20 years. In 2011 & 2013 he was awarded the Gold Stanley for Cartoonist of the Year by the Australian Cartoonists' Association and has received the Magazine Illustration 'Reuben' Award by the National Cartoonists Society (USA) in 2011 and 2013.
Emdin lives in Sydney's Inner West, but was recently asked to leave since revealing a fondness for instant coffee. In his spare time he enjoys wrestling childerbeasts and wild pugs. Visitwww.antonemdin.com to view his work.
Fiona Katauskas is a freelance cartoonist based in Sydney. Her work has appeared in a range of publications including The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, The Australian, New Matilda and Eureka Street. She also produces the Talking Pictures segment on ABC TV's Insiders program.
Cathy Wilcox was born in 1963 and grew up in Sydney. She studied Visual Communications at Sydney College of the Arts and then lived and worked in Paris from 1985 to 1987. Cathy has drawn cartoons and illustrations for many publications including children's books. She has drawn for the Sydney Morning Herald regularly since 1989, and more recently for and the Sun-Herald.
Cathy has received several Stanley Awards, a Walkley Award and in 2009, the National Museum of Australia's Political Cartooning award. She has published two collections of cartoons, Throw Away Linesand The Bad Guys are Winning. In 2013 she won the Walkley Award for Cartoon.
