Come join us for a hot cup of coffee the day after Valentines. La Scala, named after Teatro La Scala in Italy, is one of the few European style coffee shops in the area - most of the space is dedicated to seating and loitering. The coffee here is good and they can accommodate a large group. They have indoor and outdoor seating and serve coffee, tea, pastries, sandwiches, breakfast, lunch, dinner and beer.
So join us whether for 30 minutes, 2 hours or more. Come right at 10, or sleep in and come a little late - we don't mind. Drop by after your morning errands or before you head out on your day activity. This is a very flexible event and you make it fit your schedule.
Parking in Walnut Creek can be difficult if you insist on street parking. Meters charge $0.50 an hour and do accept credit cards, but you have to refill after two hours. Most street parking is gone be 10:30. Your other option is one of the three public garages that also charge $0.50 per hour, but there is no 2-hour limit. Walnut Creek has three of them:
1) Broadway (between Duncan and Cypress - near Mt. Diablo and across from Le Cheval)
2) Locust # 1(between Mt. Diablo and Cypress - Above Lark Creek Restaurant - this place fills up by noon)
3) Locust #2 (near Civic and next to the Dean Lesher Theatre - this place will charge a $5 event fee after 10:30 if the Dean Lesher theater has an event)
Hope you will be able to make it :)
