Awesome trip, great company, gentlemen. Thank you, Duane, for finding the best of all possible camping spots this weekend. Oak Springs/Music Mtn. was a terrific choice. Beautiful, peaceful, a great weekend. And thanks for singing, you two!

Duane, would it be easier if I just drove to your house rather than Pyle? Not sure where you are, I'm in south Chandler.

Hi soles, for those who are interested, I did take the hike to Charlebois spring. 19 miles round trip. I did find water at fluff springs and lots of water at Charlebois. For a future trip, Music Canyon would be an awesome place to camp. But for this trip, we'll stick with the original plan to Dripping Springs

Hi Soles, Last Sunday I hiked to Dripping Springs. There was no water there but there was water about a 1/2 mile up frasier canyon. Tomorrow I'm going to hike in using the Peralta trail head to Charles Bois Spring to check for water there. It would be about the same distance. I'll post on my findings tomorrow night.

Hi, Duane. I don't see a post that you made your hike to Charlebois spring or not. I was there a couple of weeks ago, and there's plenty of water. There should still be plenty for this weekend, if needed.

Airing out the tent, getting ready to tuck everything into the pack. Duane, let me know if I end up needing to bring a stove, I'll bring fuel and cooking pot. Also, let me know if I need to bring a water filter.

Duane - I will let you know by Tuesday night. I will talk to my squids and let you know. All 3 have backpacked before and are awesome hikers. I would LOVE to backpack with my kids again and this is a good one.

No-go with the squids, they already have their own plans. Have a great trip!

What to bring you ask?? I have a jet boil, stove and water/filter pump. One pump should be enough for three or four of us. If others sign up we'll need someone to bring a second pump. Plan on the temp being in the 40's at night. P.S. Please join me in a prayer for rain before the hike. :)
