Description: Pass Mountain Trail is a great loop trail in the Northeast Valley. It is located in the Usery Mountain Park. We will head out counter-clockwise: The first part of the hike will be fairly flat. As we round the Mountain and start heading North we will hit most of the elevation of the hike...the rest of the hike will be easy ups and downs as we pass through many washes. Once we complete the hike, we will head over to a private balcony about 5 miles away and watch the sunset. Bring your drink of choice for watching a beautiful sunset. For dinner or snacks, we can discuss food options as we get closer to the date of the hike. This event is limited to paid members. See Membership and Dues.

Difficulty: Moderate, Total Distance: 7.4 miles
Start Elevation: 2,030 ft., Elevation Gain: 1,020 ft.
Drive Time: 10 min, Water to Bring: 2 liters
Meeting Time/Place: 1:00 PM, Starbucks @ 2832 N Power Rd in Mesa. N/W corner in the Bashas Parking lot.
Leader: Sunshine
Minimum Attendees Required: 4

Maximum Attendees: 12 (due to space and seating)

RSVP By: Wednesday, March 6th, 9:00PM
Special Instructions: There is a $6 park entrance fee per vehicle. If for some reason the balcony is not available after the hike, we will meet at a near by restaurant, on the patio.

I wanted to thank all of you for your loving care after I fell. It felt so good, thank you so much. In the meantime my hand has healed well and I can use it as always. For me it was a wonderful day having experienced the outer beauty and your presence as well.

Jafia, you are so funny - actually laughed out loud. Geocaching has totally caught on with millions of people and all over the world. I geocached in Germany and Hungary!! Check this out...it even has its own website: www.geocaching.com. (also, sunset photos are posted) Take Care, Sunshine

Oh no! This week was so insane I forgot I had signed up for this! There is no way I will make it at this point. Enjoy! Shamiran, I hope u get to go and that I didn't prevent that from happening! I am so sorry if I caused any inconvenience.

I am already at the meeting place and cannot bring Sham to the active list via my phone. Sham if you can make it, see you at the Starbucks.

Hey! I was talking to Ginny (co-event-helper) and we think salad and pizza is probably enough to feed the troops. I will also have nut/trail mix and a veggie platter as well. I will also have one pitcher of "lovetinis" to drink...

So...no need to bring anything if you don't want or have time!

Going to be soooo fun! Really looking forward to this event! :)

BTW, do we need to drive 5 mi away for balcony/dinner/sunset event? Is there a parking space there?

I emailed you. No pets at the after event as we will be up a hill in a private courtyard. Thanks for understanding.

    Hey there…Let's talk food!
I was thinking of chipping in for pizza or a super sub. I could provide a couple sides and will provide plates, cups, silverware, napkins, etc.
    Bring your own 'refreshments'.
I will have a table set up for goodies and a cooler for drinks and ice.
This is going to be a very nice event.

Sounds great Sunshine! You are raising the bar again on your hikes - a catered event... Happy to chip in or pick up anything on the way over. Mark

Thanks Mark - you are so nice for asking! You can bring something that goes with Pizza. Maybe chips?

Glad to help in any way I can. I can put together a tossed salad to go with the pizza. This really sounds great. Looking forward to the day.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
