Using moderate to strenuous day hikes (no backpacking), we’ll explore the natural wonders of eastern West Virginia, which may include Dolly Sods, Blackwater River Canyon, Blackwater Falls, Otter Creek Wildernesses, Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, and Sinks of Gandy. We’ll stay at three vacation cabins in Blackwater Falls State Park, about 4 hours from the DC area.

Lodging: Each cabin is fully furnished and equipped, including kitchen, bedding, showers, bathrooms, and fireplace. Each cabin has four bedrooms, two with a queen bed each, and two with two twin beds each.
Costs of rooms: The cabins are reserved for four nights, Thursday through Saturday. You may arrive or leave on any day, but the cost for lodging is the same regardless of the number of nights you stay. Lodging costs are $225 for a room with a queen for use by 1 or 2 people (i.e., one person may rent it, or two people may share it), and $150 per person for each twin bed. (I assign another person of same gender to share rooms with twin beds unless you specify the other person.)
Reservations: You must contact Mike directly ([masked]) to reserve. A deposit of half the lodging cost is required; full payment is due by August 15. Payments may be made via check or PayPal. The trip is limited to about 20 people depending on room occupancies. Kids or pets are not allowed.
Other costs are the responsibility of each participant, and include food, travel expenses, and miscellaneous purchases and expenses.
