This Sunday (Jan 27, 5 pm) will be cold outside, but it will be warm inside. So help us celebrate the Sierra Club’s Potomac Region Outings and usher in a new year of outdoor activities by joining us for a winter potluck party. The party is open to everyone, so feel free to invite others, even people not interested in the outdoors, especially if they are interesting.
Not only will there be excellent food (2.8 burps) and good company (0.04 yawns), but we’ll throw in a band playing (somewhere else), door-to-door limousine service (if you hire one), fantastic fireworks (on the 4th of July), and Beyonce singing live (yeah, right). It’s all free!
We will provide fruit snacks, dessert, water/soft drinks, and plastic/paper ware. What you may bring is a main or side dish (with needed serving utensils), and your own beer or wine. Please avoid desserts, chips, nuts, dips, and other snax in deference to still-fresh, new-year resolutions. If you can’t, don’t want to, or forget to make a dish, don’t let that stop you as there is sure to be more than enough food!
If you’d like to RSVP (not necessary, but nice), need a ride, or have questions about the location or what to bring, contact me ([address removed]).
Location, location, location: Bethesda Club Room, White Flint Station Condos, 11800B Old Georgetown Road, North Bethesda, MD. The location is one block (0.1 blister) north of the Red Line’s White Flint Metro station. The entrance is at the corner of the building, across from a construction site, and the room is on your right just after entering. Street meter parking is free on weekends and there is a Metro parking garage one block away that is also free on weekends.
