    Hello Unity Users!

For anyone that downloaded the RealSpace3D Unity Packages last week or previously, please grab them again. A major bug was repaired that was causing the sounds to chop and stutter. You should now hear the sounds without stutters or clicks. Thanks for your patience.

Please contact me ([masked]) if you still hear anything wrong with this latest update.

    Thanks,
    Rod

Thanks everyone for a great meetup! That was my first time, and it was great to meet so many Unity enthusiasts. Also, thank you Brightline for such a nice venue. I look forward to future meetups.

Thanks to Taro Omiya! In my brief discussion with him at the Meetup the other night he asked me why we needed a unique tag on the sound sources. It was legacy from our previous engine that stored source info in an XML file. After speaking with Taro I asked myself, "yeah why?" :)

I've updated our packages in the dropbox link so sound sources no longer need a unique tag.

If anyone has grabbed already, just grabbed the updated realspace3d.unitypackage. The vsdemo_v2.unitypackage will still have the sound source tag but that is just for fooling around with so not going to worry about updating it.

Thanks again Taro! (couldn't email directly since your Meetup profile has emails turned off)

Also, anyone running the vsDemo_v2 demo, just give it some time to load. I am not a level editor and so the terrain takes a while to load. You might be looking at a black screen and hearing music playing for a minute. Also, if you experience little clicks, pops, or stutters...it is because your machine isn't powerful enough and my terrain is a process hog. Just try the RealSpace3D in your apps and see how it sounds.

I enjoyed the Meetup and thanks to Andy for hosting another great meetup and the folks at Brightline Interactive for sharing their space and showing off their cool work. All the games were impressive and anytime folks invest energy into tech and creativity you know that they are committed and love what they do. So, kudos to them all.

For those that wish to try out the RealSpace3D sound. Here's a dropbox link. Just copy everything. There is a readme.txt file and a manual to get you started. Contact [masked] for the free "indie" license. I will provide a 10 day license here just so you can fool with it and see if you are interested. Dropbox link:

10 day license (expires no matter what in 10 days...installed, used or not):

I will definitely use the indie license for Project Fun house. For anyone who didn't try out the demo, RealSpace3D is extremely impressive.

I can't make it tonight but can tell you we're working on polishing up our Unity-made game. We can certainly share it in future months.

Not going to be able to make it tonight, unfortunately; have to take care of some stuff at work. Have a great time, everyone.

    Folks,

For those of you that were at the last meeting and experience the Visisonics "RealSpace 3D Audio" demo, we'll (Rod and I) will be there tonight to provide you with the FREE Licensing Beta links so that you can take your project audio to 3D. If you did not see the demo, Rod and I will be available to do demonstrations during the break or when time permits so you too can participate in the Free License Program for the FIRST 3D Audio Plugin for the Unity Gaming Engine. See you in a couple hours...

I intend to bring another guest with me, but I couldn't find a way to add the +1 (as before).

Hello guys, All the federal offices and schools are closed due to inclement weather. Also there is a chance that the status of the storm becomes Severe. I would suggest that we make decisions to postpone the meeting. I know that some folks are going to travel from VA or MD. So I think it would be reasonable if we change the schedule to get a more productive meeting. If it is not possible, I will still attend with my SNOWMOBILE :-)

Has the meetup been cancelled, in light of the snow? Somebody speak up.

I still plan to attend. I don't think the snow will be bad, but weather forecasts say different.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
