We will probably be at a large table in the back of the cafe.  There is parking behind the restaurant accessed via McKinley Street.  Bread and Chocolate is served by the L2 bus.  It is a 15 minute walk from the Friendship Heights Metro along Western Avenue to McKinley Street. Please bring enough copies so that we can read along with you and make notes.

Ahhh, I can't get away from work. 3 weeks of shutdown leads to 3 weeks of things needing to be done this week. Have fun!

I don't have nothing prepared , I just finished an economic satire though. A friend suggested that I join a writing club. It's my first book.

You can bring the book you are writing if you would like, or just observe if you'd like.

Nice, count me in! I should be there before 8. What's the format of the group? Should I bring writing?

    October 20, 2013

    • Tina M.

The format is explained in the about us section of this website. We read aloud a maximum of 3 double spaced typed pages and get comments and feedback. We usually divide into 2 or 3 smaller groups depending on attendance. There is no requirement to read, many just listen and comment.

Hi! How long do you guys meet for? I get off of work at 7 in White Flint and am wondering if it's worth it to metro over?

    October 20, 2013

    • Tina M.

We meet from 7 to 9, then we go to a restaurant after. Usually Cheesecake Factory. Always worth it, at least for the drinks.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
