Why Write?

Because it is the only thing that provides meaning to life and it is the only way to record and remember what is worth fighting for. It is proof that man can rise above his animalistic urges and create something heavenly and pure.

What do you write?

I write everything from steampunk to dystopian science fiction, to general fiction, to westerns, to horror. I am currently working on three projects. One is a six book steampunk series about a war that is very similar to our own world war. The world is full of magical creatures such as phoenixes, gargoyles, and demons as well as humans and features flame throwers, tanks, airplanes, and submarines. The second project is a dystopian future where the government has everything so controlled the world is literally perfect. There is no pain, war, or death. However there are a group of people who want to overthrow the government because they feel it is not free. The last one is not fully developed but I know it will be a mystery book set in a world were humans live with monsters and other mythical creatures and it is normal.

I am Samantha Amenn. I am a 21 year old graduate from the Viriginia Military Institute (VMI). I majored in international studies and minored in national security. I have recently moved to DC and i am working at a think tank down in dupont circle.
