Washington D.C. Literature and Classics Meetup Pages

Our group meets to discuss literary works of several differerent genre - ancient classics in drama and philosophy, European literature of the 18th to 20th century, modern classics from Hemingway to Davies, poetry, literature of the new world (north and south America) and world literature. We are not covering current literature, and thus function differently from book clubs. From Sophocles to Sartre, Socrates to Adam Smith, Goethe to Mishima! Please bring your ideas, favorites, and "should have read" selections for the group to consider. A few selections will be made by the leadership team to jump start events, but most reading materials, particularly of longer works, will be determined by vote.
