Just wanted to hear from the people who haven't been able to make it out yet. Mainly see where people are at. I and I believe Lynda as well want too make this very inclusive and fun and get more people out.
I can honestly say that it is always hard meeting new people especially too rummage around the trash with them or meet them on a late night. Though I can assure you it is well worth it. There are some really awesome people in this group and it has been a lot of fun being able to play in the trash with them. It is even more awesome meeting new people and especially new divers.
So please new people feel free to share questions and concerns and let us know how we can make the meetup more inclusive.
Also too all the regulars I will be working on planning the Divenic soon once I get back. If people have a weekend that is best for them let me know.
Do you want to reduce your consumer impact on the earth, humans, and animals? Are you concerned about the wastefulness of our consumer society? Do you live in the Washington DC area? We're forming this group to get a group started that can dumpster dive together, swap stuff we don't need, and any other strategies we want to work on together to keep stuff out of landfills and help each other to live simply and richly.
