This is from Keith McHenry of Food Not Bombs who is looking for help too get food for friday's cooking for the big march on saturday. Maybe those of us who have vehicles can do some dumpstering too help out. Big apologies for the sort of non meetup related post:

As it turns out the huge October 2nd ONE NATION WORKING TOGETHER March is
happening on World Farm Animals Day. This gives us the great opportunity to
work with FARM and show the connections of factory farming and the failing
economy.
We need cooks on Friday evening and people to help staff our tables and
share vegan meals at the ONE NATION WORKING TOGETHER March. I am driving
across the United States after speaking at the Raw Spirit Festival in
Prescott, Arizona. I should be in D.C. Thursday evening or Friday morning.
I have rice, beans, a propane stove, spices and one huge pot. It would be
great if we could also collect produce up at the Jessup Produce markets and
local organic food stores. I had to pull over here in Oklahoma City and get
a tune up and oil change to make sure I am able to make it so this has
slowed me down a bit or I would have gone to Jessup myself. Thanks Keith

Join FARM for World Farm Animals Day

Saturday, October 2nd is World Farm Animals Day, dedicated to exposing,
mourning, and memorializing the more than 58 billion cows, pigs, turkeys,
chickens, and other land animals who are brutalized and killed every year
in the world's farms and slaughterhouses.

FARM (Farm Animal Rights Movement) will be teaming up with Food Not Bombs
