Intro to European Medieval Martial Arts

Hear ye! Hear ye! Hear ye!

Looking for something fun to do on a Sunday?

Would you like to protect yourself and your castle from hordes of invading Vikings?

Are you curious about what to do with a sword aside from "sticking them with the pointy end?"

Or do you just want to look like a bad ass?

Well, you're in luck. Alexandria's premier school of Medieval fighting arts, the European Martial Arts Academy, will be hosting an open house and introductory class on Aug. 24.

For just $10, you will have the chance to meet the knights who fight at John Strongbow's Tavern and Medieval Madness, watch a live-steel demonstration, and see what it takes to be a knight by taking part in three mini-classes in conditioning, unarmed and dagger combat, and (most importantly) basic European swordsmanship. After the two-hour class, we'll moveth to John Strongbow's Tavern on the street of Kings to quench our thirst and slake our hunger.   They're offering us special pricing on their 3-beer sampler.

Imagine your friends' reaction as you regale them with your tales of daring do. Ladies (and men) will swoon when they hear of your brave deeds.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
