"Walking the Camino": A Documentary Film Screening

Hi folks,

Unfortunately we need to postpone our mini-Camino, but fortunately there's a great opportunity to experience a bit of the Way via a (relatively) new documentary called "Walking the Camino: Six Ways to Santiago." The film is being screened at the West End Cinema in Foggy Bottom, and the director will also be in attendance for the reception. Tickets are $20 for the movie and reception, and can be purchased at http://prod5.agileticketing.net/websales/pages/info.aspx?evtinfo=24975~a4f41e[masked]d80-bb8b-5c93c118686f&epguid=01a27c33-c6e8-4bf7-810d-ecaaecdb720d&;. If you're able to join us, please purchase your own ticket and meet us there! I'll be buying mine now....

Hope to see you there,

Kristin

A great opportunity to meet several veterans of El Camino and get many tips from them. I'd planned to do my trip this September or next April, but after seeing the superb documentary September here I go???

Sorry I missed meeting you Laurie - I've seen you on the APOC FB page! Welcome to DC (or is that welcome "back"?)

Okay everyone, didn't seeing that documentary just make you want to go on a hike!? I hike every week in the DC area, and more often lately as I am getting ready for a trip to Romania next week - yes, a hiking trip! I wonder how you say Buen Camino in Romanian! Hope to do some hikes with the group when I'm back!

What a fabulous evening - the documentary, the venue and all the former and future Peregrinos were superb! Another reason to take the plunge ;-)

It was a great documentary, and great to see such a large crowd. And the sangria was delicious!

It was excellent and was not long at all. It is the best cinematic depiction of the Pilgrimage that has been produced to date.

Hi All; I had a facebook chat with Lydia Smith the Director of this movie. Since the publicity is by word-of-mouth she's asking any of you who belong to other related meet-up groups or such to consider sharing the info about the film.

Hopefully my arthritis doesn't act up as it did for the last two events and I can be able to attend.
