Boudoir Photography Workshop

  • This location is shown only to members

The workshop will explore the business and craft of Boudoir Photography, a rapidly expanding part of the photography market. The first hour (6 pm to 7 pm) will include the business aspects: i) initial meeting with your client, ii) contract and pricing, iii) preparation for the shoot, iv) the photo session, and v) follow up with client. (Note: To check availability and sign up you must go to the venue of the workshop:/www.meetup.com/The-Carriage-House-Studio/events/[masked]/)

The second part of the workshop (7 pm to 10 pm) will be a photo shoot with a model to demonstrate lighting and posing for a basic boudoir photography portfolio, including lighting for lingiere, bodyscapes and artistic nude portraits.

The model for the workshop will be the beautiful Fayette, who is our March Model in Residence.  Fayette is visiting from California, and is both an experienced boudoir and fine art nude model.  You can see her profile and portfolio at: www.modelmayhem.com/[masked], as well as contact her there if you are interested in booking her for a shoot.

We will use both studio strobe and continuous (hot) lights in the workshop, but previous familiarity with studio lighting is not required (but is recommended!).  The same principles used for lighting can be applied to off camera flash.

By the end of the workshop, you will have had an introduction to boudoir photography and a set of images of Fayette to add to your boudoir portfolio.

Workshop Fee: $ 125 (includes Model Release and use of Pocket Wizard)

Workshop Reservation Fee/Deposit of $25 Required.

Workshop Participation: Limited to 6 photographers.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
