I've added a new poll to find out how many members would be interested in attending Photoshop workshops geared toward fashion/glamour photography. Please take a look at the poll and send in your preferences.
Carol Stanley Aaron is a professional photographer and digital artist who has designed 3 Photoshop (Ps) classes of 2 hours in length to present to our Meetup. The workshops are $40.00 each. They are described below --
1. Introductory Photoshop for Beginners -- Presents an introduction to Ps and provides training in managing files and navigating in Ps. Topics include use of Ps Lightroom to manage large numbers of files, using Ps' built in file manager Bridge, using the RAW converter to manage RAW files created by your camera, and navigating your way around photoshop.
2. Intermediate Photoshop -- Presents information on working with image files including layers, masks, and adjustment layers, cropping and sizing, image cleanup, color profiles, and image processing.
3. Photoshop Retouching for Fashion/Glamour Photography -- Presents information on photo finishing and retouching to achieve a high quality professional look for fashion/glamour images.
Knowledge of Ps is a key to being successful in the fashion/glamour genre. Ps classes are often pricey and require a significant time commitment. Our Meetup offers 3 reasonably priced workshops of 2 hours in length presented by a working expert in the field. This is a good opportunity to learn how Ps can help you achieve your goals in fashion/glamour photography.
The poll lets you select the workshop(s) you would attend. This helps me in planning and scheduling them. So let me know your interest asap.
This Meetup presents workshops and classes that provide experience and instruction in fashion/glamour photography. The purpose is to give members hands on experience working with models in a photo studio and also provide classroom instruction. Discussion topics include camera settings, studio lighting, interacting with the model, use of wardrobe and makeup, the photographer's role in managing a photo shoot, and using Photoshop and other software to create high quality images.
Workshop attendees will enhance their understanding of studio lighting, be able to practice with a model in a live setting, and will learn about pre and post production processes.
The Meetup is open to all levels of photographers who want to enhance their knowledge and experience in fashion/glamour photography.
Each hands on workshop can accommodate up to six (6) photographers. Classes can accommodate up to ten (10) individuals.
Workshop coordinator Phil Kogan is a skilled studio fashion/glamour photographer. He wants to share his knowledge and understanding of fashion/glamour photography and help others enjoy this exciting field.
