Thankyou very much everyone who attended this, I had a blast and will look forward to seeing all of you on TV in 3 months and will look forward to watching this in the future at different locations in the USA. I have had several emails regarding how the winner of the saddle and belt buckle were chosen. They were both decided by scores. The Division 1 and division 2 riders had the same chance to win these as they were based only on highest scores. The winner of the saddle was Lana Bland and the winner of the silver belt buckle was Terrie Goiney, congratulations to both of you. The winner of Division 1 was Sara Jane and the runner up Julie Jones, congratulations both of you. Well the highlight of my summer is over and so back to work I go. I hope some of you can come back and do the buckle series shows we will have this summer. Again many thanks to all...

I had the best time. I love riding at Butlerhill Equestrian Center. Trails nearby, 4 obstacle courses this weekend, great music, a clinic by Gerry Cox. Cindi Plendl is an amazing host. Thanks for making it possible for a national TV program to come to our area and film this event. AND thanks a bunch to Patrick for all the hard work preparing the obstacles and just helping wherever needed. I met more nice people this weekend. Hope to do this again soon! Tom Seay and your family are the best. Thanks for inspiring words and providing a program for us "grass roots" peeps! I got a few images between shows this weekend so I hope you enjoy: http://nwhsphoto.smugmug.com/Equestrian-Events/Best-of-America-by-Horseback/

Part 2 due to word limits here...
One of the things I have heard for years is that there isn't a lot of events around here. But remember its up to you guys to support these events, it takes quite a bit to put them on. I started planning this 6 months ago. I have to say I am very humbled that Best of America came to my little stable last year but to come back again this year I'm at a loss to how I feel, very honored that they trust me...So Washington peeps lets have some fun, this isn't about me its about all of us and a huge thank-you to everyone who helped out with everything from trail clearing, advertising, finding a food vendor or advice, moral support....

    2 · June 18, 2014

Hey there just some random useful information for those attending this event. There are a pretty good number of folks coming in on Thursday night and staying here for the entire weekend many from Oregon and Eastern Washington. Great news I have thought of you and so we will be having a latte and food vendor here on site as well as a few other fun vendors with things like, boots, hats, tack and cowgirl jewelry. Best of America by Horseback will be treating you to dinner on Saturday night before the concert with Johnny Green and the Packstrings (cute name) If you haven't met Tom Seay before he is super nice and easy to be around so don't be afraid to go talk to him. Thank-you to everyone who entered this event. part 1 due to word limits

Just curious - how many riders are you expecting? And the trail ride is at 11, right? Anything going on beforehand?

    June 17, 2014

    • cindi

I am not sure how many are entered I expect them to send me the list tomorrow. It is limited to 50 which in order for them to spend time with everyone. The event starts with the trail ride which will be filmed.

update on entries...between the people who have entered and the ones that said they are going to enter it looks like this event will fill up. If you are on the fence or want to enter do call sooner rather than later. Come out and support this event. This is non-profit for Butlerhill entries go back into prizes and entertainment. I just want to do it because its pretty cool stuff and they liked us Washington peeps and wanted to come back here. I had a blast last year.

So, Cindi, should I wait to call BOA until I hear the results of your call to BOA?

    January 19, 2014

    • cindi

no go ahead and call Lynn, it will be fine either way if they take the info or I do, it is all good.

      January 19, 2014

  • Ondrea A.

    Thank You Cindi:)

    January 19, 2014

  • Alona

I called a few weeks back and asked about Division and asked for a general idea of what to expect that weekend and I was also told to talk to Cindi, she had details. ..

    January 19, 2014

  • Ondrea A.

Hi, when I signed up with Best of america by horseback I told the lady what division I wanted but she said she didn't need to know, we would pick the division when we get there??

    January 19, 2014

    • cindi

Ok misunderstanding no problem it will work out I will call

      1 · January 19, 2014

  • Lynn b.

Cindi, when I registered with Best of America, they did not ask me which division I wanted to compete in. Will we be registering for that on the first day, or should I call BOA back?

    January 19, 2014

    • cindi

They should have asked. It was an oversite you can call them back. I will also send a reminder.

      January 19, 2014

  • Janelle W.

Cindi, what's the limitation on head count for this event? THANKS!!

    January 12, 2014

    • cindi

I am not sure Janelle, Best of America by Horseback is taking reservations and they want somewhat even coverage between div. 1 and div 2. My guess div 1 will get cut off sooner than div. 2. There will be 3 arenas going on at the same time so its kinda like 3 shows in one. I would guess around 50-60 people. They will start nation wide advertising on the 19th of this month. Last year we only advertised in the pacific northwest. We had around 50 people. I hope you will come, last year was a blast....
