I am popularly known as VJ, CTM, CL - sponsor of Watertown toastmasters club. I have been with toastmasters for 10+ years, have supply chain management experience, currently involved with Amnesty International, Project Literacy and AID Boston
Toastmasters club is primarily a learning organization. We encourage our members to take risks to speak in front of audiance and support when they actively participate. It is not about perfection but is always about making an effort. Unless we try, we don’t know our limits. Toastmasters’ helps members build self confidence and be a leader. It is okay to make mistakes for, that is how we learn what not to do. Our speeches are evaluated and we get feedback from our audiences which include people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
Yes. It is a great place for people to learn to speak, give presentation, pursuade or influence audiance to take action. Toastmasters also provides an opportunity to learn leadership skills. Excellent chance to grow both at personal and professional arena.
Will be away from mid-June to mid-August, will join groups then. Can't wait.
Unfortunately I couldn't make the June 2 meeting, but thanks for your message and I hope to meet soon!
Thanks VJ for organizing toastmaster club. I see you at club regurlarly. Charlie
Yes, can do. I posted a plan to help with the shorter hike demand. The Whites are a long ride for a three hour hike but if you mix it with swimming or shopping, it can work for you if you know the ropes.
