Comedy Act Profiles:

JOJO SMITH Jojo began her working life while still at 6th form college. Punk Rock happened, and she produced her own fanzine, The Ligger. She interviewed all her heroes, The Clash, Ian Dury, the Sex Pistols, and a million one hit wonders. The fanzine led to paid work for various music papers including Smash Hits, NME, and The Face, culminating in a role as features writer for the London Evening Standard. After a relatively short time on the Comedy circuit, Channel X approached her and offered her the chance to make Funny Business, the very first comedy chat show. Since then, she's also appeared on Paramount's Comedy Blue series, as well as numerous 'Row TV' shows, where her opinions are much in demand. Jo Brand Through The Cakehole (Channel 4) Esther (BBC2) John Shuttleworth and Friends (Radio 1)

LATEEF LOVEJOY Lateef has tremendous comedic talent and is one of the most unique and distinctive acts on the international comedy circuit, and is vastly gaining the reputation of becoming a force to to reckoned with. Over the past couple of years Lateef has played to sold out audiences in major cities such as Rotterdam, and Amsterdam (Holland) Stockholm (Sweden) Lagos (Nigeria) New york ( United States) and has toured all over the UK and featured in many of Britain's top comedy clubs and venues.

His skillful blending of Stand-up and impressions has also been showcased on British Comedy television shows "Young, Gifted, and Broke" and "Take The Mike". As well as acting and stand-up Lateef is also an accomplished comedy writer and is set to both write and star in British independent comedy sitcom "Meet The Adebanjos"

Sandra - afraid your ticket didn't end up getting used so unfortunately we won't be able to offer a refund - sorry. Hope the back sorts itself out soon...

If anyone was sitting on the fence about whether to go to this, I have a spare ticket which I'm happy to trade in exchange for dinner (about £7) or a couple of drinks.

If interested, please add a message here. :-)

Ok folks...a group booking has been made which includes myself, LeAnn, Eleanor, Julia, Gary, Sandra and Lee. Lttp (Jane) has made a separate booking - Jane you may want to contact Highlight and ask them to put you on the same table as that booked under my name. For anyone who hasn't signed up, RSVPs have now reopened and will close to allow a second and final group booking to be made on 6th November.

Hmm...I don't think its anything to worry about. When I used my admin rights to override the RSVPs to add you to the attendees, it appears to have left you noted as 'unpaid' because you hadn't paid through MeetUp. I've now overridden this setting as well so hopefully it no longer has you down as owing anything. Let me know if this has/hasn't done the trick...

Hi Antony. Are we able to make our own bookings but be seated on the meetup table then? If so, then great, I hope to come along and bring a friend.

If you book through the Highlight website (i.e. Pay full price) you can enter a group name in the special requests box to be seated together. If you go through one of the discount offers, there appears to be no way of doing this...

Just to be clear...the £25 is to cover entry to both the comedy night and the club night afterwards, venue booking fees, food, and PayPal fees incurred through taking bookings through Any small change (and it will be small!) from this lot will go towards keeping this site funded (it costs £100 a year just to have host the Watford Social).

Deadline for initial purchase extended by a week...

Hi Anthony. Did you know that highlight often have deals for as little as £10 or £15 for a ticket & meal. I regularly receive their offers via email. You can also book tickets with an initial deposit, normally £5 per person and the remaining balance is payable a week before. I do realise that this is not so easy to organise when you don't have confirmed numbers or given deposits.
I would be happy to join this event as I enjoy comedy but not at £25.
