I took a week-end course on the DSLR a few years back, and also took part in a few of the adventures organised by the ShootUp experience guys. I notice many interesting things on the streets and can imagine what a great photographe it can make. But either don't have my camera on me, or lacking the skills (or courage) to take the photos.
I think having some guidelines or topic to shoot certainly helps, rather than just taking photos of everything while on holiday. And if i could join your group every now and then I'm sure i'll learn a lot and enjoy it, as well as maybe (hopefully) contribute somethign back too.
Apart from the obvious beauties of London that I never get tired of I really like industrial sites, and East End (near Excel for example) can provide lots of material for it. I was also hoping one day to get a good look of the Battersea station (close up, or even better - from inside, but they don't let you) I once went on a bus via a very rural parts in North West London... Somewhere beyond Wilsden (by the way - Wilsdon Junction is quite rich of harsh looking stuff) and it was something that didn't feel like London at all... To capture that side of life (and stay safe at the same time) could be cool.
I'm interested in street photography, but sometimes a bit shy to go do on my own. It is just as a little hobby of mine and something I believe i can improve by learning from the others.
