Not Republicans, Not Democrats. Citizens.

On September 12, 2001 we picked ourselves up from the worst terrorist attack in our history. But instead of giving in to fear, we pulled together. We set aside politics to do what needed done to save our country. As patriotism soared, we regained our beliefs in our nation. We believed in our neighbors. We believed in our Constitution. We believed in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Above all, we believed in fighting for what we held dear.
Today unprecedented spending and expansion of government threaten to cripple us from within while enemies still threaten us from without. And all while our country is being rapidly pushed down a road that many Americans don't wish to travel. In response to growing concerns and the common question “what can I do”; radio and TV host Glenn Beck started the ‘We Surround Them’ project to gather like-minded Americans together. On March 13th 2009 Glenn launched the 9/12 project to connect Americans to each other and give us a place to find our voices. The grassroots effort has met with enormous popularity. We Surround Them Bloomington, IL is a gathering place for those around the Twin Cities who believe that government belongs to us.
