*Please note: I received notification of this conference and had some questions that needed to be answered before I posted it here on our Meetup site.  Here is what I have learned about this event:

This conference has been organized by a number of Catholic patriots in western Ohio.  The conference will have three parts.  The main speaker will be Sheriff Mack, there will be a representative from The Appleseed Project (www.appleseedinfo.org) speaking to the group, and there will be a presentation about spiritual warfare.  The conference is not only for Catholics.  Spirituality is universal to all faiths.

The conference is named "They Fired the First Shot 2012" after a book by the same name.  The book was written by an author who calls himself "A Friend of Medjudorje".  I did some follow-up and discovered that the author's real name is Terry Colafrancesco who started an organization called Caritas of Birmingham, Alabama.  If you do an internet search on Mr. Colafrancesco, you will find some major "red flags".  Here is one good link that outlines the concerns http://www.rickross.com/reference/caritas/caritas1.html.  There are many different sources.  Do an internet search on "Terry Colafrancesco" or "Caritas of Birmingham" to read further.  Please do some checking on your own so that you can make an informed decision about reading the book and about any information you may receive at the conference.

A lot of good people are finding this book to be of great value.  However, I would feel remiss if I did not let you know what I found out about its author and his organization so that you could make an informed decision about attending.  Thanks. - Joan Mag.
