The Hidden Nerve Writing Group

We had some really interesting results from our rant writing exercises based on our drawn images and little dramatic engagement. And a special thanks to our participants who brought a rich mix of knowledge and experience using writing and imagery. All experts and beginners welcome!

We plan to continue the series March 3, same location, same time.

This time our theme will be Disrupting Structures. Stay tuned for details!

Again, Mike Poblete, playwright who has been writing his whole life with the result of having his plays produced in New York and Dublin and will be assisting us with writing direction. We're lucky to have Mike back from finishing his MFA in Dublin to work with us on these little endeavors.  http://mikepoblete.wordpress.com/

And Sarah Valeri, exhibiting artist and investigator of creative processes will be offering some visual arts experiences to help us tap into new perspectives on our work. http://www.sarahvaleri.com/

Sorry, no more visits to Brooklyn.

    4:45 PM?

The course was only 45 minutes?

    Pass.

Michael, again, we are very sorry to hear of your transit woes. Every session is 90 min, sometimes longer depending on the group. Today was a special case as we had a small group that came together, but due to their schedules could only stay for 45 minutes. So we did a special abbreviated session, and left when they did as we assumed at that time no one else was arriving.

I thought the meeting as at 4:30 and the local R train in Brooklyn was ridiculously slow. I came from Inwood. The northern tip of Manhattan so Brooklyn was a real hassle.

When I arrived at 4:50. Nobody was home, but two recording artists let me in and said they had no idea what I was talking about.

I had no phone number so it was dicey at best.

I rarely come to Brooklyn. Though only good thing was my Android videos I shot in the subway.

I'm willing to possibly meet in Manhattan, but that's enough adventure in Brooklyn.

Oh no! Very sorry about that. We had some people come that had to go at 4:45, so we left with them as we assumed no one else was showing up. I hope your next visit to our fair borough is more fruitful!

Sounds easy enough. Looks like this is going to be a very intimate group.

    15 is OK.

But not 35 like in your other courses. That starts to add up quickly.

Indeed, it all depends on the prep and materials and such.

    Hi Michael,

If the fee is a problem I'd be happy to talk to you about it. We have to pay a little for the space and we provide the art materials, so that's where it's going.

You need to keep the price down. But disrupting structures sounds intriguing.
