Anyone can go. Anyone can observe.
In order to vote in the straw poll and participate in the election of delegates and alternates they must be a registered voter in a precinct designated for that location and they must sign a pledge that they consider themselves to be a Republican and has not and will not participate in the 2012 caucus or convention of any other party.
There is no cost.
The caucus will start at 10 am, so registration is prior to that. The election of delegates (to the County Convention) MUST start no earlier than 10:30 am and no later than 11:30 am. So, the election of delegates and alternates will take place between 10:30 am and 11:30 am, until finished.
Following election of delegates and alternates, a discussion of proposed resolutions, local issues, suggestions, ideas will ensue. I am not sure how long this will take. I guess it depends on how many people and ideas there are.
This is how my pooled caucus is conducting and I presume most caucuses will have a similar format. The voting must be handled according to specified guidelines.
