Restoring Honor Rally - 8.28.10

RESTORING HONOR RALLY

Throughout history America has seen many great leaders and noteworthy citizens change her course. It is through their personal virtues and by their example that we are able to live as a free people. On August 28, come celebrate America by honoring our heroes, our heritage and our future.

Join the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and many more for this non-political event that pays tribute to America’s service personnel and other upstanding citizens who embody our nation’s founding principles of integrity, truth and honor.

Our freedom is possible only if we remain virtuous. Help us restore the values that founded this great nation. On August, 28th, come join us in our pledge to restore honor at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC.

Traveling by Bus…

Buses must display the proper permits in order to cross into the District of Columbia and must adhere to the District’s rules for drop off, pick up, idling and parking. Buses will not be allowed to drop anywhere on the National Mall or Lincoln Memorial except for specifically designated areas.

We ask that all groups travelling to the Rally register their buses and vehicles (don’t worry it’s FREE!). Register your bus today!

Need to reserve a bus for your group? Fill out our transportation request form and we will help get you to the rally. Bus Quick Links:

I am a group coordinator looking to register my bus
I am a group coordinator looking to reserve a bus
I am an individual looking to reserve a bus for a group I am going to organize

Traveling by Metro…

Metro stations open at 7:00 am on weekends. The closest Metro stations to the Lincoln Memorial are Foggy Bottom-GWU, Federal Triangle and Smithsonian on the Orange and Blue lines and Metro Center on the Red Line. Visit the Washington Area Metro Transit Authority site to find locations for all the stations adjacent to the National Mall and to plan your trip.

Traveling by Car…

This is not recommended! DC has very little parking around the Mall and much of it will be limited by mall construction projects, tour bus drop off or media truck access. DC has some 2-hour metered parking nearby which is monitored regularly and enforced. Check the hours on parking garages since some close early on Saturdays. We recommend you come to the rally by bus or by Metro.

THE SPECIAL OPERATIONS NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Every day service personnel risk their lives to protect our country. It is through the support of non-profit organizations like the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF) that the families of these service members are taken care of in the event of an accident or loss of life. Learn more about the SOWF today by visiting www.specialops.org.

Help us to honor our heroes, our heritage and our future by making a tax-deductible donation online or by sending a check to:

SOWF
C/O Mercury Radio Arts
1270 Avenue of the Americas, 9th Floor

The Restoring Honor Rally was inspirational. We met wonderful, caring people who will certainly go home and rededicate themselves to make a positive difference in their lives, their communities and our country. Thank you, Glenn Beck, for giving us direction and hope!

The rally was awesome. I spent 2 days on a bus both ways and it was still worth it! I met the nicest people. Spiritual, loving, helpful. I will never forget this event.

That was one of the most awe inspiring things I have ever taken part in. The people were great! Glenn and all the speakers were awesome. It's hard to explain but it is something the country has needed desperately for a long time.

I thought it was outstanding. I was priviledged to get a ticket from Wall Builders to attend the Divine Destiny meeting and it was actually so great it made the rally on 8/28 hard to compete with, however the Rally was wonderful also. But I am thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful event and Glenn Beck is a man chosen by God to pull His people together. Now, take what we were involved in and take it to your community and lets put this country back on track and claim this great land that we have been allowed to live in. God Bless America and all of you. Pray for the Great USA.

Even though my daughters and I got there late (around 11 AM) we thought it was fantastic - we couldn't get closer then the Washington Memorial - it was packed up to there and beyond -- It was a very friendly and peaceful rally - we were exhausted but we wouldn't have missed it !

This was one of the most wonderful events I've had the privilege to attend. I feel like it was a healing moment for thousands of people. It certainly benefited and brought deserved attention to the Special Operations Warrior Fund as well as all Veterans. I also believe that it was a sincere and prayerful effort to encourage a renaissance of Faith, Hope and Charity. It was also a turning point in the effort to leave race out of the American equation. We are all Americans, we are all God's reflection and we must stand united in this Truth.

I am very thankful that I was able to attend this event. I am even more grateful that my 11 yr old son and my husband were there with me.

I was at the rally with my brother -in-law and some fellow veterans. It was indeed inspirational and a reminder to continually search for truth and integrity. We were humbled and deeply honored to be a small part of such an enormous gathering. Glenn, reminded us once again that the hallmark of America's strength begins not through political means, but through the magnificent door of Faith in God, Hope through Redemption and Charity for all of His people. I came away even more resolved to follow the path of truth, honor and sacrifice. If we are to renew our founders principals, it must begin with us. It must begin through example. It must begin through the virtues of character and integrity emanating through the individual citizenry. Peace to all.

It was awesome!!! We had a great time. I have not ever been in such a large crowd. The flock of geese in a "V" formation over the Reflecting Pool was a sign from God. It was a moving experience.

I wondered down by myself and ending of feeling not alone....I went because I think Glenn just "Gets IT". and I found out on Saturday, that a lot of Americans get it! So we must join together and help and remind each other of the good we can do in the name of God. Sometimes we rack our brain about how to work something out, and we often forget the only one who can ACTUALLY work it out - God!!! Of course we have to have open hearts and minds. It is So incredibly awesome that Glenn "LISTENED" and wasn't afraid to act on God's call. GOD IS THE ONLY SOLUTION!! THANK YOU God for uses Glenn!!!

I shared a bus that caravanned with five other busses leaving from the Tampa area Friday morning and arriving in DC early Saturday. This event was the most uplifting, powerful and uniting event I have ever encountered or could have imagined! It was executed flawlessly with excellent production quality! I believe this rally WILL be remembered as the undeniable turning point in our republic's history to restore faith, hope, charity & honor! THANK YOU MR. BECK AND EVERYONE WHO WAS INVOLVED!

This will be a lifelong memory!!! It was everything it promised and much much MORE!!! I met friends that I will have for the rest of my life... all ages... the most rewarding being the young people there with their parents who are aware of what is happening in our country and are determined to be the George Washington of their day to restore this great country to what the founding fathers fought and died for. The Restoring Honor Rally restored my faith that with God's help we will return to giving God the glory through Jesus Christ for all the blessings He bestows on America. 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

I enjoyed the first half. Then it got hot and was pretty unbearable. I left after the music stopped playing. Saw people leaving earlier. I rode up on the bus and met many wonderful people. I liked the rally because it was like people and like minds meeting. I walked away thinking that I must get to know the Lord better. Sheila

It was great. It was great to see so many American united and getting back to what made this country what it has been for so long. We need to get back to God to fight off all this evil around us.

I met wonderful people from all over the U.S.
Everyone was well-behaved and cleaned up after themselves, which is impressive for a group of 500,000.
As requested, people left their signs at home.
The pundits can disagree with me all they want, but this was not a political rally.

I just loved this gathering. It was such a perfect day and the message so uniting. I can't think of any event that has moved me more than this one. Glenn Beck did a great job and the guest speakers were outstanding. I felt the love and peace of God at this event and will never forget the day I came together with 500,000 + Americans at the feet of the Lincoln Memorial and started on the path to restore honor in our country and public office holders who will no longer be able to rule of a Christian nation with nothing less than honesty and truthfulness. We must remember who we are in Christ Jesus our Lord!

The Restoring Honor event was incredible, beyond amazing. I was honored to serve as a volunteer and met so many awesome people. We were all complete strangers at the start of the day, but we were united in our belief that America must turn back to God and restore the principles and values of His heroes that began this grand experiment of freedom that is America. We stood together, we linked arms and prayed together, and we vowed to restore honor in our own lives, in the lives of our families, and in the life of our nation.

God has us here for such a time as this. This event happened for such a time as this. I left the event with an even stronger sense of duty and responsibility than before that I must keep integrity, truth, hope, charity, and honor alive in my own life, continue strengthening my relationship with God to have a courageous faith, and pick up my stick and stand where He wants me to stand, come what may.

This was a blessing that I am forever grateful for!

The most memorable experience of my life. So much at stake for this country. I've never been around so many wonderful Americans in my life. I was inspired by the people standing beside me as much as by those on stage.

We had a great time, a feeling of NOT being alone in this crazy world. To be surrounded by people who have a love of the gospel-Jesus Christ and America is amazing a love that follows over you, can not wait to get to heaven and have that love forever! We were at the DC metro asking for directions from a couple and they were from out of town as well. They asked us if we were in town for Glen Beck and of course we said yes. They said,"we have 2 EXTRA tickets for "America's Divine Destiny"at the Kennedy Center. While we accepted the tickets and all I have to say GOD put his hand into our lives that second when 2 complete strangers gave us those tickets -their names Scott & Brenda from Texas, this all the info I got from them. The seats were great to top it off!-Orch L 111. Less than 50 feet from the stage. It was amazing, I have to say one of the greatest expericies of our lives. The closing pray was from no other than the great John Hagee from Conorstone Church in Texas. God is alive

This was the most amazing events of many lifetimes. Obviously, it is impossible to talk about haw far we have strayed from our founding principles without touching upon the political, but the focus remained on what we, as a people, must do in order to rescue this great nation, and preserve it for our children and grandchildren.
This was no hype, and I was honored to be there.

inspirational to say the least. standing room only and I mean ONLY and everyone was considerate of others, even after standing for 3 hours. Restoring honor is the only way to save our country.... I think this was a great start in the right direction.

YES, One must focus on Day of the moment What was said about for us to look within ourselves and we'll know true meaning of this day. We all should not cloud the meaning of what was said this day and the people who said it and experienced within our hearts. Let's return to God for all our answers and our nation will be on again, as our forefathers for which Glenn has be telling us ALL.

    Great message, incredible turnout.
The only problem I had was that the turnout was a double-edged sword: 150 feet from the stage I was unable to move an inch so I was stuck directly next to (and leaning on, at times) a full trash can. :)

To those who ride these tour buses: make sure to bring a regular pillow and another smaller one for the small of your back.

More of a revival than a rally. The spirituality was moving and Alveda King was a real mensch. Restoring honor will take time but it was a first step. Glenn struck just the right note with his speech. Watch the video of the friday night service at the Kennedy Center. It will actually move you beyond what you saw on Saturday!

Great day! I'm glad they anticipated the crowd this time and had jumbotrons, speakers, etc. I know at the 9/12 march last year most people were there but couldn't hear or see what was happening all day. This event was accessible to most who attended even though the crowd was very large. Travel suggestions were thorough and accurate.
