On May 25, 1787, delegates gathered at the Constitutional Convention to debate the proper size and scope of the federal government.
Virginian James Madison argued for the states to unite under a constitution that would secure liberty for themselves and future generations. The Virginia Plan, which he drafted, set the agenda and foundation for the Constitution with a balance of powers and proportional representation.
On September 17, 1787, Virginia’s delegation successfully led the Convention's delegates to ratify the Constitution.
On September 17, 2011, please support another Virginian who will lead the way toward a Constitutionally restrained federal government. Washington DC needs a representative now more than ever who understands, respects and obeys the Constitution.
Donate as much as you can -- $25, $50, $125, $250 -- to support Karen Kwiatkowski for the Republican nomination in Virginia’s 6th Congressional District. She has proven her allegiance to the Constitution and will continue to uphold it in every vote, every time, with no exceptions.
We need representatives who understand, respect and obey the Constitution. Lt. Colonel Karen Kwiatkowski is the most qualified person to lead the cause of liberty in the House, as she has proven her allegiance to the Constitution.
Who Is Karen Kwiatkowski?
Dr. Karen Kwiatkowski (ka-taw-skee) served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years before retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. She was assigned to the National Security Agency and Pentagon where she worked in communications and political military analysis respectively. In 2002, she published a series of articles exposing the deliberate distortion of intelligence reports on Iraq. Her articles came to be known as the New Pentagon Papers and earned her heroine status for obeying the Constitution under conflicting pressures inside the Pentagon. She has been featured in numerous military documentaries including the award-winning, Why We Fight.
Dr. Kwiatkowski holds advanced degrees from Harvard University, the University of Alaska and a Ph.D. from Catholic University. She grew up as a Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan Republican and has been a prominent writer for LewRockwell.com since 2003. She received but declined the Libertarian Party’s nomination for Vice President in 2008 and has repeatedly resisted calls from local Virginians to enter electoral politics.
Lt. Colonel Kwiatkowski recently announced her official candidacy for the Republican nomination in Virginia's 6th Congressional District against 18-year RINO incumbent, Bob Goodlatte. Read more at www.karenkforcongress.com/about-karen
