Apparently there is no meeting since there is no LOCATION. I'm afraid this is a ploy to have 6607 willing participants fail to find a place to participate. Is this a ploy? Have we been waylaid? What a shame...

For those complaining about too many emails if you simply edit your meetup profile and change your settings, it will stop.

    1) Login to Meetup.com
    2) Click on the Account link at the top of the screen
    3) on the left side will be a link called "Membership & Communication" click on that, now find the meet up group and change and save your preferences.

Over four hundred of us were outside of the Fox News studios in Manhattan, within sight of two viewing screens and plenty of loudspeakers. I met people from Texas, Kentucky, Connecticut, New Jersey and New York and I wouldn't be surprised if other states were represented as well. I'll be uploading pics soon. It was great meeting like minded people and learning that we were truly not alone. The only problem I had was with the site. It was cumbersome to mfind the threads you were following, but it was not an insurmountable problem. Could be because of the size of the group.

The Viewing Party setup was a bit confusing; I was initially set up for New York area and I am in Georgia. I went and changed that but the concept was a bit vauge. I was really looking for at least a minimal guideline on what we could do locally. We would like for Glenn to have this more than twice a year, though.

We had great food and fellowship. Would've liked for Glenn's show to be a little more inspiring. I guess I had just seen lots of those guests on his show before. One of the people who came asked what the purpose of it all was, so I'm not sure we felt like we got anything accomplished (YET). But we're planning to work on reading the books and getting together to discuss them and coming together again on 9/12.

It wasn't as informative on WHAT we could be doing to make a change and a difference as I had hoped it would be. Plus, only about 6 of the 30 people that I invited showed up, so that was dissapointing.
  • Kim Hawley
It was great seeing others come out to support our Constitution and the values of our fore fathers. I would have liked some more specific direction or tasks to work on from Glenn, because I think we will end up with a lot of spin off groups/actions where none can gain traction.
  • Nancy Brooks
It was just family. We all work so we recorded it and watched it later so we missed the on-line part. I don't get to watch the TV show very much. I think the radio has much more of an impact on me personally. I like seeing the people in person and I am glad I knew who they were (from listening to the radio). The other 2 viewers do not listen to the radio show, so there were questions about who the people were & why they were on. I am glad we recorded it so we could stop & explain. Keep it up I personally need this motivation. Thank you.

A moving moment for all of us who were mostly strangers but now friends. We made plans to be a support group and to start monethly get togethers. We plan to become active in our local political group to push for conservatism and values, to become more active in our community and our churches and to prepare for the worst and pray for the best for our country. We tried to stay focused in our thoughts without getting off on tangents. We did not want our efforts to die from too much bureaucracy by forming a group. We want to pattern our goals off the Jews who hid in the woods during WWII by the brothers.
  • Wendi Powers
My husband and I were thrilled to attend and enjoyed meeting some very nice people who care about our country as much as we do. Everything was well organized and we felt welcome. I am always touched by Glenn Beck and thoroughly enjoy listening to him. I am a little disappointed, however, as I had hoped to leave the meeting with my "marching orders". I was hoping for more direction. I know this will come and look forward to getting involved with our local group. Many thanks.

I thought the enthusiasm was contagious! This confirms my belief that people are willing to take a stand for their country and what they believe in as an American. I will remain firm in my commitment to uphold the standards of the constitution of the United States of America. I will keep my family and friends informed of current events and news, and encourage them to participate in government issues.

It was nice to feel that you were not alone. It was educational somewhat also. We learned that the senators and reps do not read anything we send . This came from a young man who worked in Washington I believe as an aide. I just didn't feel that there was a sense of urgency to making plans to try and take our country back and I feel Obama is moving so quickly to change our way of life. But I will continue with the group and help to make plans. Something is better than nothing and I so believe in the movement that I will not give up.
  • Don Messner
After watching your show yesterday I have came away with the feeling that even though I am alone in my viewing party I am not alone in how I feel about my country and the direction it is headed in. After your show I know that there are millions of great silent Americans that care and I will promise my life my honor and all I have for my country. Your right "mean what you say and say what you mean." May God Bless you and your family Mr Beck, and thanks for the great show.

Wonderful to meet new people and let them know they are not alone as the media likes to portray us! There are conservatives out here who care about what our country is becoming! It would have been nice to be able to sit as a group better to exchange ideas. As it was, unless you moved around, you talked mainly with the 3-5 people at your table. The room was a little loud (due to the bar and TV's) after the show so it was sometimes difficult to talk. One tea party idea to share. April 1st send a tea bag in an envelope to The White House/1600 Pennsylvania Ave/Washington, DC 20050. Also send to senators and congressmen. Include a tea bag and if you wish, a "Pink slip" with something like"Next election, you're FIRED!!" on it! Let's flood them with tea!

I watched from the beginning through the webcast. My wife got home from work halfway through. We now want to read the biographies and writings of the founders of our great country. I encouraged one neighbor to watch the recast on Saturday since he was on the road then - he said we will talk on Monday. Only three others in all of Morris and Sussex Counties desired a meeting location. I will try to followup with all of them.

First of all I want to Thank Scott and his wife and children for opening up their house to all of us!! They were great! I enjoyed the diverse group of people that showed up. The turn out was wonderful! More than I expected! The only thing I was disappointed in was that people didn't stick around and meet other people whom they didn't know. Maybe that is best left for a quieter place and for a meeting that is focused on discussion.
