February 2014's featured wearable tech company will be Toronto's PUSH who will be demoing the first fitness tracking device that measures strength along with engaging in a discussion around the Quantified Self. We will also have a presentation from HackerNest who will be giving us the rundown from their Mind & Motion Hackathon. Social to follow (beer/drinks & eats provided).
Here is the game plan:
1. BIG ANNOUNCEMENT (**NEW**)
Something BIG is happening to Wearable Wednesday Toronto and we will be making the official announcement at the start of this event.
2. HackerNest Construct Hackathon: Mind & Motion
The HackerNest team will be in the house to give us a rundown of the winners and learnings from their next-gen user interface Hackathon, Construct: Mind & Motion, which would have just wrapped up the week before. You can find more details about Construct here.
3. Featured Wearable Tech: PUSH
Toronto-based PUSH will talk about and demo their wearable tech for the gym followed by a discussion on the Quantified Self and the opportunities this provides to consumers, developers, brands & marketers. You can find more details about PUSH here.
4. Social & Hands-on with Tech
Time to connect with each other, grab a drink and get your hands on the wearables in the room: Google Glass, Galaxy Gear, Sony Smartwatch, Pebble Smartwatch, Lumoback, Fitbit Force, Jawbone UP, Nike FuelBand SE.
GIVEAWAY: We will also be giving away ONE LUMOback at this event, generously donated by Lumo Body Tech.
