Despite some early technical glitches, this was a GREAT meetup. Rasheed and Shazafar are to be congratulated on organizing this event and obtaining the agreement of three Google Glass/Android Wear experts to present to our group via a video Google Hangout. This group has real potential for the future and I hope that potential is realized through the creation of a vibrant and active group.

Sorry, Mason is not going to work for me either. Why wouldn't we use a community room in a Panera for example, they have one at the HydePark location? What about a room in a library? I wish you had reached out for options. It has been my experience that in Cincinnati short of Down Town, Hyde Park or Newport, people have a hard time showing up.

It looks like we are lucky as I have to go in that direction any way for my son's practice, See you Thursday!

Panera isn't going to work per the agenda we have. We looked at a bunch of places and we needed a place where we will be able to have our presenters join us via videoconferencing. I don't know if that'll be possible at Panera. Not sure about libraries either. The other locations we were able to secure was in West Chester. It's an office. Would that have been better? The reason I went with the MAX Training location is the supporting infrastructure they have for this type of Meetup. They have all the equipment we will need in a classroom type setup. This will be particularly useful when we want to hold teach out sessions where our instructors will be joining us remotely. I understand it'll be hard to satisfy everyone and find a location that'll work for all. So, we went with a location that will serve the need and requirements for the group in general. I hope you guys understand this. If you think this location isn't going to work, I'm open to suggestions. Can you guys suggest something?

Hi Lance, I think we'll stick around at Maxtrain. Hope to see you at the Meetup! Also, help spread the word. :-)

I plan to be there. And I will spread the word. I have already told the folks at the Cincinnati Android Developer Users Group about your new group. They were very interested.

Hi Tim, like David said, at 6.30 the traffic is really light. Plus, this location is very close to the interstate exchange. So logistically it's well placed. Hope to see you there.

    • Lance F.

I agree with David. At 6:30 traffic is really very light. And with easy access from the I-71 exchange it is quick to get to from locations both north (like Westchester, Middletown and Dayton) and south (Hyde Park, Downtown and NKY). I attended a CinJUG meeting at MaxTech just this evening and the traffic coming down from Dayton was no problem.
