Introduction
I am Jerry Johnson, a programmer/web developer at a small newspaper/media company. We run about 30 newspapers and 50 websites around the country. We are using ColdFusion, PHP, WordPress, and Ruby, and all could use help in the performance arena.
How long have you been working on improving website performance?
About 15 years, but only periodically.
How did you first become interested in making sites faster?
Trying to get websites running across dial up connections on the SERVER end.
