Projects that fail rarely get a second chance to rewind and start over. Join us on December 5th for an enlightening discussion on the lessons learned from updating Neustar’s web performance product line, not once, but twice. In this talk, Alan Dyke, a key engineer on the project, explains the 5 surprising and even counter intuitive success factors for avoiding the pitfalls of a failed project. We will look at lessons learned that pertain to delivering web software quickly and making it perform fast.
About the speaker:
Alan Dyke has a Ph.D. from the University of Wales, and over 20 years experience working as a software engineer. He has worked in academia, in the defense industry, and in manufacturing. When the Internet took off in the early 90s, Alan jumped on that band wagon and hasn't looked back!
