Are you interested in freelance work?

If you're a startup or a small business with an idea for a web application, let's talk. I can also help if you have an existing site that needs modification or enhancement.

What is your background?

Began building web sites when I was 12. Taught myself PHP and MySQL a few years later and launched, a popular movie news site. Spent 3 years at SAS coding in Java and .NET. Left in 2006 to start my own Ruby/Rails software company.

Are there any great web design books that you recommend?

The Pragmatic Bookshelf offers some really great books on a variety of technology subjects, including HTML/CSS and web design. See

Share with us – what web site(s) do you use the most for inspiration or helpful tips?

I'm a big fan of RSS and follow several tech blogs. FreelanceSwitch is a great resource for independent workers. But my best source for news, inspiration and tips these days is Twitter.

Freelance software developer local to the Wake Forest area. My language of choice at the moment is Ruby. I also have broad experience in PHP, Java and .NET. Lately I've been moving into the realm of iOS development. I also enjoy building APIs.
