Introduction
Hello, I am a local Front-End Web Developer who works for a Internet Marketing Company based in Raleigh. Looking to make a few connections and see what this Group has to offer.
Are you interested in freelance work?
I am always interested in freelance work. But it's not really the extra money that attracts me to it, it's more the challenge and the idea work with different individuals who bring different and unique ideas to the table.
What is your background?
I was a HS teacher for 3 years and decided to go back to school for a second Bachelors. I graduated from Full Sail University in Orlando, FL in 2009 and have been in front-end development ever since.
Are there any great web design books that you recommend?
I've always thought the Smashing Magazine Book series was pretty well written. I have read a lot of HTML/CSS/Javascript books, but I've never really gotten into any web design books, but I'm always interested in swapping books with local looking to expand their knowledge.
Share with us – what web site(s) do you use the most for inspiration or helpful tips?
Smashing Magazine, UX-Booth, CSS-Tricks, and A list Apart are three that I tend to follow daily. As for helpful tips, StackOverflow seems to be unmatched.
