Thanks for the message. I work as a web application developer, so I'd be interested in the basics as well as any cool performance improvements that HTML5 presents. I'd like to see what nice, new JavaScript functionality we have if possible too.

Thanks for the welcome! I don't have any specific questions. I"m interested in learning more about HTML5 features and how HTML5 can be utilized for web development. I have done some HTML5 web development with an MVC but I didn't feel like I got the most of HTML5.

As far as HTML5 goes the history is what is a bit hazy. Ive started learning HTML with HTML5 so this meetup will be a way for me to refresh and understand better. I am focused now on front-end development by learning the holy trinity of modern web development (from what ive heard/read) HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Question will the $10 donation be paid at the meetup or through eventbrite website? Thanks. JPE
