WebGL is a context of the canvas HTML element that provides a 3D graphics API implemented in a web browser without the use of plug-ins. The specification is currently a work in progress. WebGL is managed by the non-profit technology consortium Khronos Group.
WebGL is implemented in the development release of most major browsers. Currently, implementations are available in Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari. In addition, WebGL is available in the PR1.2 firmware update for the Nokia N900.
