The weather forecast says it will be hot and sunny on Sunday, so what better to do than go to the beach? One of the members suggested that we host "taster days" for assorted sports and activities, so this will be the first taster day for you to try your hand at kayaking. And if your arms are sore then you'll have the Monday public holiday to rest up!
Location has been changed to Sai Kung Sha Ha Beach due to the sudden closure of the Stanley Main Beach. Other details remain the same, we will meet at 3pm at the kayak rental place, which is on Sha Ha Beach opposite the New Beach Resort Hotel.
At 3.00pm, we will make a relaxing trip from Stanley Main Beach to the nearby Turtle Cove Beach, which will take around 30 minutes. We can laze around on the beach until 5.30pm, then make our way back to return the kayaks. We will follow on with dinner in Stanley, I don't intend to book a restaurant, we'll decide then.
We will rent the kayaks from Hong Kong Aqua-bound Centre (HKABC). For a location map of the HKABC, take a look at this link:
The cost will be $150 per person for 3-hour kayak hire, which includes a life vest. You can choose a single or a double kayak.
